Sharon Johnson, Program Manager with the American Cancer Society, was the guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon. Sharon educated the members on the work the American Cancer Society is doing to help all of us live a cancer free life.
During the presentation, Sharon asked the Rotarians to consider volunteering in the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program. Sharon is looking for Polk County residents to drive cancer patients to treatments at area hospitals. You don’t have to make a big commitment, but you can make a big difference in the life of a cancer patient.
