The Rotary Club of Tryon was pleased to welcome Rotarian Andrew Morris back to a Club meeting this week. Morris recently returned from his deployment in Kuwait as a Captain in the Army Reserve.
During the meeting, Captain Morris was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow for his “tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world”.
Paul Harris Fellowships are awarded to honor individuals in recognition of their generous support of the Rotary Foundation at Rotary International. The honor was established in 1947 to show appreciation of support for Rotary’s international humanitarian efforts.
The Paul Harris Fellowship was presented virtually by Rotarians Bob & Judy Lair. Morris will receive his Paul Harris Certificate and Pin at the next in-person meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon.
