The Rotary Club of Tryon is growing.
At this week’s meeting the Club inducted new members Kristin Hylland and Katie Malone. Most members of the Club participated via Zoom, while Club President Skip Taylor swore in the new members at the Tryon Presbyterian Church..
Kristin is a second generation Tryon Rotarian because her father was a member of the Thermal Belt Rotary Club. Kristin is a Human Resources Information System Consultant with KMWH Enterprises, where she works primarily with government agencies. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys hiking, swimming, and working with glass. Kristin lives in Tryon with her husband Larry. Rotary President Skip Taylor sponsored Kristin’s membership in the Club.
Katie Malone is serving our community as the Executive Director of the St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation, but many of us also know her as Polk County’s professional Triathlete. In addition to swimming, biking & running, Katie enjoys mountain biking and alpine skiing. Katie lives in Landrum with her husband Brad. Rotarian Judy Lair sponsored Katie’s membership in the Club.
A global pandemic can’t slow down the work of Rotary, so the Rotary Club of Tryon is always looking for new members who want to make a difference in their local community and around the world.
