Ken Shull Recognized as Paul Harris Fellow Level 5 & 6

The Rotary Club of Tryon was excited to recognize Ken Shull with the Paul Harris Fellow Level 5 & 6 awards at last week’s meeting.

All Rotarians are encouraged to make an annual financial contribution to the Rotary Foundation: Every Rotarian Every Year. Rotarians are recognized as Paul Harris Fellows after they have made a donation of at least $1,000. For each additional donation, Rotarians are recognized with a Paul Harris Fellow Level.

Paul Harris Fellow & Rotarian Ken Shull receives his recognition pins from Rotarian Judy Lair.

Money donated to the Rotary Foundation is used to fund projects in the six areas of focus for Rotary International:

  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution.
  • Disease prevention and treatment.
  • Water and sanitation.
  • Maternal and child health.
  • Basic education and literacy.
  • Economic and community development.

During the recognition ceremony, Rotarian Judy Lair noted that somewhere in the world a child will have access to clean drinking water, access to better health care, and a basic education because of the donations made by Ken Shull.

In leading by example, Rotarian Ken Shull has reminded all members of their commitment to support the work of Rotary. All Rotarian must remember: Every Rotarian Every Year!
