2017-2018 Installation

Installation of New President

On July 27, the club members, with partners  and friends, gathered at Holy Cross Episcopal Church to install Ken Shull as the newly minted President of the Rotary Club of Tryon!
The luau themed event included a steaming whole pig and other delicious food, thanks to Renee Duval & crew!  After the eating was finished, the new President Ken moved to the podium with copious notes and his laptop to deliver what the crowd assumed was a match of the presidential inaugural address early this year.  He immediately gained respect of the crowd as he noted ‘this year we will do good works, have fun doing it and will make a difference’ – he then thanked the crowd and retired to the thunderous applause of a much relieved audience.
He was sworn in by AG Tiffany Ervin to make it official.   Things won’t be quite that easy in doing, but the message is that we have a good club of men and women, working together to do good in this place and wherever else we find a need.  A good time was had by all .
Bill Miller was thanked for his efforts as President  last year.
