Avery McKeller Recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow

The Rotary Club of Tryon had the honor of recognizing Avery McKeller as a Paul Harris Fellow at a recent meeting. Rotarian Charles McKeller and his wife Lib made a donation to the Rotary Foundation to honor the joy their granddaughter brought to any Rotary event she attended. Rotary District Foundation Chair, Carol King, had the pleasure of awarding the Paul Harris Fellow to Avery’s parents Paula and Mack McKeller.

During the ceremony, Rotary Club of Tryon President Skip Taylor unveiled a new plaque for the club’s Little Library at Harmon Field. Avery was a regular participant at many Rotary events and when the Little Library was being built, Avery helped paint the animals that adorned the sides. In memory of Avery McKeller and all of the joy she brought to everyone she met, the Rotary Club of Tryon was pleased to name the Little Library near the playground at Harmon Field the “Avery McKeller Library for Kids”.
