Community Service Project at Tryon Elementary

Rotarian Beth McCallister did a bang-up job gathering the contents of the thank-you bags the Rotary Club of Tryon packed for teachers at Tryon Elementary. Procuring tissue boxes, wipes, skin-friendly hand sanitizer, and teacher-themed masks was no easy task in the midst of a pandemic-caused global shipping crisis. Thanks, Beth!

After last week’s meeting, a contingent of Tryon Rotarians took the bags to the school and met the principal and some teachers—a good time was had by all. Next quarter’s community service project will honor local healthcare personnel, a token of our appreciation for their heroic work during the pandemic.
