Carol King Visits Club

The Rotary Club of Tryon recently had a visit from Carol King, District 7670 Rotary Foundation Chair.  Carol discussed the important role the Rotary Foundation plays in transforming your financial contributions into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.  During her presentation, Carol told the Club about the Financial Structure of the Foundation, how Foundation resources are being used around the world, and how members can become a part of the Arch Klumph Society.  Arch Klump, and other Rotary Members, started the Rotary Foundation over 100 years ago.  Ms. King challenged Rotary Club of Tryon members to take part in the Foundation’s “Every Rotarian Every Year”  program and to look around our community and develop a project the Foundation can help support right here in Polk County.
