Robards Recognized as PHF+3

The Rotary Club of Tryon is pleased to recognize Tryon Estates Rotary Satellite Club member Jim Robards for his contributions to the Rotary International Foundation. Rotary Club members are recognized as Paul Harris Fellows for their first $1,000 contributions to the Rotary International Foundation. For each additional contribution of $1,000 Rotary members are recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +1, +2, …..

At a recent club meeting, Jim Robards was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +3. During the ceremony, Jim reminded club members “service to our local community is an important part of being a Rotarian, but we must also remember to financially support for the work Rotary International does around the world”. Jim encouraged Rotarians that “a small monthly donation to the Rotary Foundation will build up over time”.

Donations to the Rotary Foundation will support our seven areas of focus:

  • Promoting peace
  • Fighting disease
  • Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Saving mothers and children
  • Supporting education
  • Growing local economies
  • Protecting the environment
