In a ceremony at the June 27th meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon, Stacey Lindsay was installed as the 93rd President of the local Rotary Club. Originally from Columbia, SC, Stacey completed her undergraduate degree and MBA from the University of South Carolina and spent her career in the banking industry. She and husband Terry Schager reside in Gowensville.
The ceremony was conducted by Tiffany Ervin, who is the District Governor of Rotary District 7670 which is made up of 48 clubs with over 2200 Rotarians in western North Carolina. Stacey takes over the leadership of the club from Fred Hartley who has served as President the past year. The Rotary Club of Tryon has been in continuous operation since it was organized on July 5, 1927 and has a strong tradition of supporting projects both locally and internationally.
